- THE TRAIL BENCHMARK: When we set out to design the Stumpjumper, we had some pretty big goals. We wanted it to be the lightest bike possible, but without sacrificing durability. We wanted a stiff chassis that corners like it's on rails, and geometry that everyone can enjoy. All of this paired with the best suspension kinematics we know how to design.
- 130MM OF TRAVEL THAT TAMES THE TRAIL: Even the most travel is useless without the right kinematics, which is why we put them at the forefront of the Stumpjumper design. Using lessons learned from the Enduro's suspension design and more than 1,000 hours of development work on the trail and in the suspension lab, we've significantly improved uphill pedaling performance while creating a capable, efficient and lively bike that every rider craves. Anti-squat behavior has also been increased so the suspension better resists bobbing. Square obstacles are now better absorbed too, meaning less speed is lost. Bottom line? The Stumpjumper rocks down any trail in a controlled manner, yet climbs any climb with ease.
- PROGRESSIVE GEOMETRY: The S-Sizing geometry of the new Stumpjumper hits exactly the sweet spot. Long, low, flat, a fork with little offset, a steeper seat tube angle - all of this makes your ride a better experience. With the adjustable flip chip you can adapt the bike to all conditions and ensure that your Stumpjumper is perfectly tuned for every terrain.
- RIDER-FIRST ENGINEERED™: Rider-First Engineered™ frames use a frame size-dependent approach to keep the ride characteristics identical across all sizes. No matter whether you're a small S1 rider or a giant on the S6 bike - the ride characteristics remain the same. Cornering like on rails and balanced stiffness between the front and rear wheels.
- SWAT™: When we introduced the SWAT™ Box on the Stumpjumper in 2016, we increased the storage space and had enough room for puncture protection gear. On the new Stumpjumper, we kept the same design features but increased the volume and added a SWAT™ bladder that lets you hide an additional 650ml of water in your downtube. Yes, the bladder is the same size as a small bottle.
