The S-Works Torch is our logical next step, or rather, kick in terms of road cycling shoes: the combination of body geometry, bionics, data science and the finest craftsmanship results in a shoe that delivers noticeably better performance on the trail and road - but remains imperceptible on the foot.
From the sole and upper to the BOA® fastener, we have scrutinised every line and seam to deliver a milestone in fit and performance. For example, the BOA® cable has been moved down and minimises tension and pressure on the ball of the foot with its slightly more oblique angle. At the same time, adaptive materials support the natural sequence of movement and data-based, reinforced sections promote ideal power transmission with a secure hold.
Where does the data come from? From the more than 100,000 foot scans of our RETÜL programme, which constantly provides new insights into foot health. For example, the new Torch comes with a wider carbon sole including an integrated "I-Beam" strut, which saves a further 20 grams of material.
Another RETÜL result: the asymmetric heel recess, which follows the natural knee alignment and offers more space and comfort for the Achilles tendon.
