We used supercomputer simulations to subtly alter round tube shapes, tapering their shapes in key areas to deliver huge gains in stiffness and balance with a minimum of material. No unnecessary material, just more stability and integrity.

With the help of a supercomputer, we optimized the traditional road bike shape of older bikes in a completely new way. The shapes were subtly changed to offer massive advantages in stiffness and balance without negatively affecting weight or durability. Combined with our completely new layup process, perfected over decades, this created the lightest frame available (585 g on the 56-inch S-Works model). The Aethos is more than just a new bike, it is the first of a new breed of bike.
